THE EDGES

All four sides are left to fray into a soft fringe — but not left to their own devices. A row of decorative stitching runs just inside the fringe line, which stops the fraying at exactly the depth I intended and holds it there. It won't creep further with washing.

That stitch is the only detail on the napkin, and it's meant to be seen.

WHICH SIZE

40 × 40 cm (16" × 16") — everyday lunches, breakfast, casual dinners
45 × 45 cm (18" × 18") — the classic dinner size. If you're unsure, this is the one

Machine wash cool, no bleach, dry naturally. Iron on the reverse while slightly damp if you want it crisp — or don't, and let it crease.

Pre-shrunk, so it holds its size. It softens with every wash.
