Проєкт «Місце сили»

Найдужче за домом сумуєш коли зупиняєшся посеред супермаркету в чужій країні, бо десь запахло кавуном. Кавун, який мама вибирала стуком. Бичок, засушений на підвіконні у газеті. Голос уздовж пляжу — «мідії, рапани, крєвєткі». Черешня, яку їли теплою, не миючи. Ластівки, що повертаються навесні — не в якийсь дім, а саме в той, свій. Дім — це не адреса зовсім. Це жменя дрібниць, які носиш у собі і які нікому не поясниш. Тому я їх вишила. Щоб носити ще й у руках і щодня.

ПРО ВИРІБ

Бавовна, 40 × 37 см, лямки 70 см — на плече.
Вишивка авторська: я малюю ескіз, оцифровую й вишиваю на своїй машині. Цих малюнків більше ніде немає.

Прання при 30°, без відбілювача. Прасувати з вивороту, не по вишивці.

Якщо це подарунок — напишіть, і я вкладу листівку без ціни.

A PROJECT CALLED "PLACE OF POWER"

You miss home most when you stop in the middle of a supermarket in a foreign country because something smelled of watermelon.

The watermelon my mother chose by knocking on it. A goby fish drying on the windowsill, on newspaper. The call moving along the beach — mussels, rapana, shrimp. Cherries eaten warm, straight from the tree, unwashed. Swallows that come back in spring — not to some house, but to that one, theirs.

Home isn't an address at all. It's a handful of small things you carry inside you and can't explain to anyone. So I embroidered them. To carry in my hands too, every day.

DETAILS

Cotton, 40 × 37 cm (15.7" × 14.5"), 70 cm (27.5") shoulder straps.
Embroidery designed, digitised and stitched by me in Portugal — these drawings exist nowhere else.

Wash at 30°, no bleach. Iron from the reverse, not over the embroidery.
